The most abiding memory of that glorious time was the remarkable and wonderful four-way friendship between Evie (my wife) and me and Anthony Newley and Joan Collins, who had met and married during Stop the World. The friendships endured, each of the four corners solid as a rock. Evie and Joanie were even pregnant at the same time - their daughter Tara and our son Adam. Great people, great times, great songs, great friendships, great memories - it doesn't come any better than that, and Greasepaint became Newley's and my favourite of all of our scores!
